Removal of methylene blue dye from wastewater using ZnONPs in the dark and light

In this work, the efficiency of ZnO nanoparticles for the removal of methylene blue dye from wastewater was studied through a sorption process. The effects of various parameters such as solution pH, initial dye concentration, contact time and temperature were examined. Sorption kinetics followed Pseudo second order and sorption isotherms followed Freundlich, assuming to chemisorption process. Thermodynamic parameters indicated spontaneous and exothermic sorption process.
