Elite attitudes towards the impact of social networking sites on the Egyptian national security

Abstract

The study sought to identify the direction of the elite about the impact of social networking sites on the National Security after the (political, military, economic, intellectual, social), has required study procedures using the survey method Media apartment Field, and relied on the questionnaire as a tool for data collection, where it was applied  form 90the political elite ,the security and academic form by 30 on every elite, and relied on the theory rely on the media as a theoretical framework to her, and the study reached several conclusions, perhaps the most important: -
v dominated the pattern of follow-up respondents to social networking sites, follow the pattern of permanent, and that the highest rates of surfing to those sites for the benefit of rate surfing more than an hour.
v rise in the number of respondents who trust in the news and information posted on social networking sites, they ranged degrees of confidence between the highly and moderately and lack of confidence, and was the highest rate of confidence in favor of the rate of confidence moderately, while The lowest rate of confidence is the rate of non-confidence.
v contribute to high rates of social networking sites in raising the level of security culture of individuals.
v high degree of balanced assessment of the respondents about the role of networking sites in the awareness of national security.
v social networking sites do not constitute in itself a threat to national security, but the real problem is in the mind of its users and those who made it, and it was facebook from more locations to communicate danger to national security, followed by site - Viewed - YouTube (video files, which are traded), in while Twitter came in ranked last.
v considered the most Alambhothinaqrar Interior Minister Major General Mohammad Ibrahim and his ministry_s intention to monitor social networking sites to monitor security risks as the embodiment of the mechanisms of the police state of deep and restrict freedoms, and a return to the era before the revolution.
v ranged trends respondents about the impact of networking sites on each of the security (social and economic) between approved and neutral, trend year tended to agree to its negative impact on social and economic security, while defeated on their direction neutral character (Allaroy) towards positive phrases. This shows that the general trend among the elite tend to agree on the negative impact of social networking sites on each of the security (economic and social).
v also thinks the trend neutral about the impact of social networking sites on each of the security (military, intellectual, political), has emerged mostly unable to determine their attitudes toward each of the statements positive and negative, and this is due to the networking sites is a double-edged sword, its impact positive and negative.
v results supported the rejection of the hypothesis of a relationship with a statistically significant correlation between the rate of follow-up respondents to social networking sites and between their attitudes towards the impact of such sites on the National Security (social, military, economic, intellectual, political).
v proven hypothesis that there is significant relationship between the rate of trust, between the trend towards the influence of networking sites on the National Security relatively, where proven study a correlation statistically significant difference between the rate of confidence and the trend towards the influence of networking sites on the military security, social and political, and reject it with respect that there is no statistically significant correlation between the rate of confidence in networking sites and between their attitudes towards the impact of such sites on both economic security and intellectual
v supported the results proved the health of the hypothesis: different trends of the respondents about the impact of networking sites on the National Security according to the following variables (gender - Age - qualification - the job - Years of Experience - income level) part, it has been proven the existence of statistically significant differences between the direction of the respondents about the impact of social networking sites on the military security due to the variables (the number of years of experience, the level of income), while the proven lack of statistically significant differences between (Alnoa- Age - qualification - function) and the trend towards the impact of social networking sites on the National Security on the other hand .
  The study recommended  Need: -
 legislation and laws that protect all users of social networking sites and national security of the country, and this needs to develop security services so that they can impose censorship and control over everything that is taken through these sites, without compromising the privacy of its users and freedoms.
 work to benefit from the advantages of social networking in order to serve the supreme national interest of the country and spread awareness and legal culture, human rights and security and the preservation of the national earnings and support the security and stability of the country through the provision of correct information and respond to any suspicious attempts by the distortion of the achievements of the development and the cultural, intellectual and moral, economic and military.
