It explains the historical development of the name of this city till it reached to its current name _Damietta_, As well as its geographical in Egypt, which Located in The North on the Mediterranean coast, as well as the total area of this province, and the administrative division, where has four centers is the center of Damietta center of Damietta, and the center of Zarqa, the center of Kafr Saad, as well as an explanation of the cities in them, the human nature , and climate and the activity of the population and then the furniture industry, which is more the activities of the city_s population.

This chapter explain the development the furniture design lines in the twentieth century in Damietta and its relationship with the international design lines started from the twenties and even the nineties, and the development of used design methods in Damietta from traditional method till the modern methods, and to show the difference between them, the researcher mentioned realistic samples for the design methods used in Damietta, as well as, it explains the improvement of designer idea in Damietta from master maker to creative designer. Describe some crafts like wood carving and marquetry.

This chapter is talking about the fields of using the digital revolution in furniture designing including the use of computer information gathering, as well as designers use computer to marketing their works As well as computer programs that used in design. And this chapter explain two of this programs AutoCAD, and Archie CAD, and from this fields also use the montage software and adding effects such as the image processing program Photoshop, and also the programs of animation and three-dimensional film programs such as the program of creating the three-dimensional films Maya, as well as how to build a digital model, and simulation technology, and the technique of default impact , and artificial intelligence, and using the digital revolution in remotely connect and collaborate with others.

_Digital technology in the furniture manufacturing_
This chapter is talking about the areas of using the digital technology in furniture manufacturing , including the manufacturing programs with computer cam, and the chapter explains one of this programs _alpha-cam_, as well as designing programs and manufacturing programs with computer ,as well as how to build a physical model by computer digital control machines.
This chapter is also talking about the evolution that has occurred to reachto the digital control with computer , and the advantages and disadvantages of this machines , and the impact of these machines on the furniture industry and then this chapter will explain the two different types of these machines _cutting and milling and sculpture multiple axes machines_ , and _laser cutting machines_ , as well as the concept of reverse engineering like three-dimensional scanning machines ,and three-dimensional camera, as well as three-dimensional printing machine, and also three-dimensional laser machine.
