The New Visual Image Technology In Contemporary Architecture

Research deals with the theme of "the new image in contemporary architecture" through the answer of how the evolution of the concept of image and visual culture in light of  the accelerated technological development which had an impact on all aspects of life and make the image and speed of production and usage through digital technology is the most important means of information production and consumption at the same time, which allowed the use of this technology in the production of what is known as digital arts, arts produced using computer technology to track trends of architecture since the post-modernity and influenced by technological development of digital arts and how to use them to enrich the architectural space in contemporary architecture. This is concluded through discussion and study of basic three axes:

  1. First Axis: Under the title of "Image concept between visual culture and digital arts," which is divided in turn to discuss two primary dimensions where it is discussed through the first dimension the new visual mixture cultural influenced by the philosophy of postmodernism since the seventies with ideas of pluralism by introducing some after modernism art form which saw the beginnings of digital art and the revolution in electronics and digital culture, the development, and the changing of the image _ a fixed to animated, realistic to virtual, and rigid to interactive.

The second dimension discusses the new visual image technology which expresses the digital art and its appearance starting _ of the digital image photography, through the art of video processing in the digital space and virtual reality.

  1. Second Axis: Under the title of "Modern international trends since the post-modernism and beyond", which is divided in turn to discuss two primary dimensions where it is studied in the first dimension the direction of postmodern architecture and then move to the direction above modernity through the virtual reality architecture, deconstructive architecture, and bubbled architecture.

The second dimension discusses the direction of post-modernity in Egypt since the nineties, which was a new approach combining to take advantage of the huge Egyptian heritage and keep pace with global trends.

  1. Third Axis: under the title "The role of new visual images expressing digital art in the enrichment of contemporary architecture" and this axis discusses two primary dimensions. In the first dimension it discusses the role of digital art as an innovative image in enriching the interior and exterior architectural space and laying down many models which confirms the spread of this trend in Europe and America and Canada which is expressed in the printed walls and video sculpture and processing in the interactive space and interactive walls… and the so-called urban art.

The second dimension is to research the possibility of activating the role of digital arts in enriching the contemporary Egyptian architecture through exposure to digital art in Egypt and introducing many projects which confirms the strong existence of digital art in Egypt, but limited only to the exhibition halls in spite of the availability of many interactive and aesthetic values ​​which can be used to enrich the architecture space in the contemporary Egyptian architecture.
