The 1: 1 condensation of 4-amino-1-phenyl-2, 3-dimethylpyrazoline-5-one and 8-
hydroxy-7-formylquinoline under template condition to obtain the Schiff base ligand 4-{(8-
hydroxyquinoline-7-yl) methyleneamino}-1, 2-dihydro-1, 5-dimethyl-2-phenylpyra-zol-3-one 
(HL) with NO 2 donor set. Reaction of the ligand with metal salts gives a series of novel
