Calculation of Reflectance and Transmittance of Coating With Optically Rough Surfaces

A two-flux model for source-free anisotropic scattering rough surfaces is derived using
Pomraning-Eddington approximation for the transport equation. Relations have been
derived between Kubelka-Munk coefficients (K) and (S) and the transport parameters σs, σa
and g=< µ>. The problem of a collimated source is linked to the solution of the source-free
problem. The reflectance and transmittance of surfaces with arbitrary roughness are
calculated and compared with the available data.
