The research aims at identifying the effectiveness of the use of cognitive and mental maps on cognitive achievement and learning some basic skills in table tennis for students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Damietta University. The researcher used the semi-experiential approach. The sample included (58) students representing 42.03% (138) students, and the researcher built educational units using cognitive and mental maps, and another in the order of the experimental groups of control, conducted three exploratory studies in the period (2-9 / 10/2014) to confirm the scientific transactions of the tests under study and identify the Difficulties The researcher used the basic study to apply the experimental and control samples in the period from (23/10 to 27/11/2014). The researcher used the statistical equations (percentage - T test) The most important results were the effective use of cognitive and mental maps in the level of cognitive achievement and the skillful performance of the table tennis course for students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Damietta University
