Educational vision to confront the phenomenon of Basic education student_s work in Damietta in the light of the global economical crisis effects:

The phenomenon of basic schools students work in Damietta is considered a strange phenomenon of its kind in the world, this strangeness because this phenomenon is being rooted in the culture and conscience of Damietta community as it considered a standard of manhood, self reliance, and self building, also to be able to face the future crisis.

The current study seeks to analyze the causes and effects of this phenomenon an students in the light of the global crisis which moved the world since 2009 till now.

This study seeks a mechanism to balance between the requirements of Damietta culture which sanctify the crafts and the requirements of children_s rights and justice in education in addition to their opportunities in education and life in general.

Limits of the study:

Objective limits: it addressed the global economic crisis and it_s reflections on basic education student_s work in Damietta and the ways to face this crisis.

Spatial limits: child_s work environment in Damietta.

Humaneness limits: it included a sample from (schools students - parents - work owners - educational experts in Damietta).

Time limits: the time of the study was in the school year 2012/2013.

Tools of the study:

- The researcher conducted a prospective study to identify the student_s work environment in Damietta.

- The dependence on the open interview with a sample from (parents, school students, work owners and those who are interested in education.

Results of the study:

- The delay of Damietta child from childhood rights and the deprivation from other rights guaranteed by the constitution and international law and human rights international charters.

- Domination of poverty and deteriorating of economical conditions and the collapse of the community security system, as a result of these reasons, students practice different professions in order to preserve life in its simplest form.

- Poor education system in Damietta, the absence of school_s role and the prevalence of private lessons in it.

- Egypt like other world countries was affected by the global economic crisis in a negative way and this was clear in the tendency of primary education student_s to work in various professions in Damietta.

 

 

Recommendations of the study: The study recommended a number of goals:

- Educational premises for confirmation of student_s right.

- Activating the state role in the maintenance of student_s right.

- Reforming the education system to assure the rights of students who work in Damietta.

- Supporting voluntary initiatives to face the phenomenon of basic student_s work in Damietta.

- Supporting the role of society civil organizations and nongovernmental organizations NGOs that support student_s rights in Damietta.

- Putting accountability mechanisms.
