The Impact of Nature on the Construction of Arab Identity in Pre-Islamic Poetry

This study is considered a step for essence of the Arab character and finds out what characterizes the nickname of the qualities characteristics of all others in that era . So , It was a strong motive led me to choose this subject, which made him under the title (The Impact of Nature on the Construction of Arab Identity in Pre-Islamic Poetry) . Accordingly , the research consists of four chapters icluding introduction and then preface and finally the conclusion as follows: Introduction: includes the importance of the subject of the research and the reasons for its choice, method(procedure) of the research , and the following plan . Preface : includes two themes : The first theme : includes the definition of personality and national personality which we want to study and its elements and the factors in forming . The second theme : includes the identification of the landmarks of Arabian Peninsula and topographic description of what it contains of wealth . The first chapter deals with the value system of the pre-Islamic Arabs such as generosity, courage and pride and patience and the treatment of neurological and other ideals ) . …. Demonstration of the impact of the above-mentioned geographical nature in its composition ( forming ) , and be entitled (the geographical nature and value system) . Values helps in this era in maintaining the balance and the continuity of life in this desert environment, such as leasing, generosity and solidarity, and other values that have helped to highness ( promote ) the treatment between them . The Arab tribes differed the commitment to these values as much as the impact of geographical nature on each tribe separately its members . Whenever the Tribe with honor and origins , it committed to these values and followed laws that can't deviate from them and then people . It is also characterized by severe , violence and extremism in all things which does not recognize mediate. Each value has spread and against severe such as there was the value of generosity in its highest standards as well as well as stinginess and ( courage against cowardice ) . This shows the affected geographical nature that do not know to mediate in any way . They ( The Arab tribe ) do not know calm and poise on what has characterized the Anvoyneh( violence ) in the intense heat and the severity of cold and wind speed and the severity of the floods, which crash every thing in front of her, as well as in contrast to the severity of famine and disruption of water. The third : It deals with the different habits of the Arabs before Islam and the impact of nature in forming such as the fire and travelling, drinking wine and taking revenge and multiple wars and others. And was a result of permanent and continuous close contact to the nature of the Arab community has been scarce and Desert led to divide the Arabs and the dispersion to search for food and water and to the absence of a fair central authority to collect Arabs . This leads to the continuous dispute throughout the pre-Islamic era until the war has become endemic phenomenon in the mentality of the Arabs who have become between the raid and and thus be entitled: (Nature , Arabs religions , beliefs and social customs ) . The three chapter : includes three themes : The first : deals with the different Knowledges of the Arabs, such as medicine, astronomy, proportions and novel news and other and all were a Knowledge has not lived up to the level of science for its lack of relationship between cause and effect . Maybe it is not be an exaggeration or may not be a great exaggeration to say that one of them wasn't afraid of death in a day of his life, and thus be entitled ( Nature and knowledges of the Arabs and the occupations and mental outlook to things) .
