Weft knitted outer wear provide aesthetic appearance in addition to the comfort properties, which is due to the structures and Physical & mechanical properties. Whereas the traditional designs knitwear are produced by using one type of structures in the horizontally in the row direction and it was found that there is a difficulty the presence of difficulty to produce more than one Structure in the row. Therefore, this study aims to produce knitted fabrics containing more than one structure in the row and record the impact of these structures on the physical and mechanical properties of the produced samples.

The variables of the produced samples :

1) Materials (Acrylic 100% - Acrylic /lycra).
2) Structures: Singles Jersey - Rip (Jacquard-Tuck Stitch-Plaited Stitch) - Terry Stitch (Plush). The machine with gauge (7)E.

The most important results that have been reached through the search as follows:

  1. Getting designs with more than one structures horizontally(In the same row).

  2. There are no impact of the Compound Structures on the physical and mechanical properties of the produced fabrics.

  3. Getting new designs for woman out wear with aesthetic effects by using Compound Structures.
