effect of some weave structure factors of double plain weave on performance properties of automobiles seat cover fabrics produced with designs derived from Islamic geometric ornamentations

The industry of transportations  considered as the largest markets in which modern applications for textiles and technical textiles of all kinds ( woven - non- woven - knitted) are used , as commonly used in visual and non-visual applications such as car seat fabrics .How ever, this kind of fabrics did not get enough scientific study ,  beside that most of the automobile seat covers fabrics are imported and  there designs does not rely on the appliqué motifs of Egyptian identity, in spite of Egyptian art contains many Islamic motifs with high aesthetic value . Hence, the need for a study looking at the properties of car seat fabrics and technical requirements in addition to the design requirements required of car seat fabrics by enriching its designs by taking advantage of the diverse color effects of double plain weave.

     The research aims to link the scientific and technological values ​​that achieve functional properties required of fabrics brushes car seats woven style double gentlemen aesthetic vision emphasizes the Egyptian identity and meet the need of the local market.
